Terms of Use

Fives (the app at five5.football, shown as "Five5") is operated by Twenty21 Labs (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/834494/07, a South African company ('we', 'us'). By creating an account or using Fives, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What Fives does

Fives helps people organise 5-a-side football: clubs, matches, invites, chat, and keeping track of who's in and who has paid. Fives is a tool for organisers and players. We don't run matches, own pitches or employ referees. Each match is organised by its organiser, and venues are run by their owners.

Your account

• You must give a real name and an email address you control, and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
• One person, one account. Don't pretend to be someone else.

Organisers

If you create a club or a match, you are its organiser. You are responsible for:

• the details you post (date, time, venue, price, number of players);
• arranging the pitch with the venue. Fives sends booking requests to venues on your behalf, but doesn't book or pay for the pitch. A booking is only confirmed when the venue confirms it with you. "Marked as booked" in the app means you, the organiser, have marked it;
• collecting money from players who pay you or the venue directly, and paying the venue;
• treating players fairly, including when you remove a player or cancel a match.

Organisers pay for their own spot, like every other player. The match total only adds up if everyone, including the organiser, pays.

Players

• When you commit to a match (pay in the app, pay at the venue, pay the organiser, or Confirm for a free match), you're telling the organiser you'll play and pay. Please only commit if you mean it.
• If you choose pay at venue or pay organiser, that payment is between you and the organiser or venue. Fives doesn't handle that money and can't refund it.
• You play at your own risk. Follow the venue's rules and the organiser's instructions.

Payments in the app

• In-app payments, when switched on, are processed by SnapScan. The money goes to Twenty21 Labs, which then pays the organiser after the match. In-app payments are not yet available for every match; where they aren't, the match shows other options.
• We charge no platform fee at the moment. If that changes, we'll tell you before it applies.
• Prices are set by the organiser in South African rand (ZAR).

Cancellations and refunds (in-app payments)

• The organiser cancels the match: you get a full refund.
• You leave more than 24 hours before kick-off: you get a full refund.
• You leave within 24 hours of kick-off: your fee is normally not refunded, because the organiser has committed to the pitch. We may refund you if your spot was filled by someone else.
• The organiser removes you: you get a full refund.
• Refunds go back through SnapScan to your original payment method. We process them in batches, so please allow up to 10 business days.
• Money paid at the venue or to the organiser is refunded, if at all, by them, not by Fives.

Behaving well

Don't use Fives to:

• harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
• post anything illegal, hateful, sexual or misleading;
• spam, scrape or attack the app, or try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
• create fake matches, clubs or payments.

We may remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and share information with a venue or the police where someone's safety is at risk (see our Privacy Policy).

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Fives available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We don't guarantee that a match will happen, a venue will be available, or other users will turn up or pay.

To the extent the law allows, Twenty21 Labs isn't liable for injuries, loss or damage at matches or venues, for disputes between organisers, players and venues, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid through Fives for the match concerned.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or other law that can't be excluded.

Ending your account

You can stop using Fives and ask us to delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you unless the risk is serious. Refunds you're owed remain payable.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using Fives after that, you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
